Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a meal at Moody’s Bistro & Lounge or Thai Nakorn Restaurant. At 22 miles by 12 miles, Lake Tahoe is the nation’s largest alpine lake. The beautiful blue water is surrounded by 72 miles of gorgeous shoreline. Tahoe offers water sports in the summer and winter sports during the snow-rich winters. Boreal Mountain Resort, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, and Squaw Valley USA are among the dozens of world-class sites for skiing here. After a day of great times on South Shore of Lake Tahoe, check out some of the area’s top eateries, including The Beacon Bar & Grill and The Fresh Ketch Seafood Restaurant. Fire Sign Café and Swiss Lakewood Restaurant are among the favorites at West Shore. And of course, casinos are abundant here, including the legendary Harrah’s.
