Glenshire

Glenshire is a subdivision located on the northeastern edge of Truckee. The peaceful community of mountain homes unfolds onto lazy meadows sheltered by tall pine trees and mountains. Hiking and biking trail heads are scattered throughout the neighborhood. The head of the infamous Legacy Trail, which spans from Regional Park to Glenshire, starts in Glenshire. During the spring, the air is alive with the sound of a bubbling creek and the smell of pine trees. Glenshire is an umbrella community of many smaller, homey neighborhoods, including Cambridge Estates. Glenshire is in an ideal location, near many distinguished landmarks. Residents of Glenshire are five minutes away from the quaint Truckee downtown, within 13 miles of the beaches two lakes that are great for waterskiing, and down the freeway from the largest metropolitan in the region, Reno, NV. Glenshire’s infrastructure also offers a great elementary school and small shopping center so you do not have to travel far to get everything you need. There is a community center with a pool and a children’s playground, both great locations to engage in the community.
