February Events and Activities

June 13, 2018 by anoble Leave a Comment

Whether you’re a snow fanatic, or a vistas-and-trails groupie, or a shopaholic foodie, the Truckee Tahoe region has a lot to fall in love with. It’s true that our snow pack is down somewhat this year, but there’s still plenty to do here to treat yourself and your Valentine to a memorable trip away. In fact, the Lake Tahoe region has more year-round outdoor fun than probably any other ski town.

Start with the more than 500 unparalleled ski runs in this area. The snowmaking capabilities of our resorts are unbeatable. Northstar California — right in Truckee’s back yard — has the largest snowmaking operation in the region and they are considered masters at it. All they really need is cold nights (which we have) and your days are bluebird perfect, with temps averaging in the 40s — perfect for that afternoon après ski toast while soaking up some welcome Vitamin D from the sun. Take an afternoon to enjoy the beaches or trails at Lake Tahoe, without the summertime crowds. And at night, enjoy wine tasting, exceptional dinners, musical events, even s’mores by the fire pit. Add it all up, and it means epic fun and adventure.

When planning a trip to the area, it pays to know someone who has all the scoop on available lodging and events. And WE are that “someone” for you. Take a moment to check out the upcoming events below, pick your dates, then give us a call or check our website for choices on where to stay. With the growing popularity of the area, it pays to plan in advance so we’ve included a few events for March and April.

I Love Truckee

Prime home buying season is fast approaching and if you are thinking of putting your home on the market, now is the time to get ahead of the spring listings! While buyers were held back a bit at the beginning of last year because of our incredibly deep snow pack, this year weather does not seem to be a hindrance so inquiries should be revving up soon. Inventory levels in this area were historically low throughout most of 2017, and homes sold at a quick rate. In fact, going into 2018 we anticipate continued strong buyer demand and low inventory levels, which is the perfect scenario for selling. That shortage can work in your favor, bringing buyers out earlier in the year so they don’t potentially miss out on their dream house.

Call now for our spring special on listing your home.

With more than 15 years experience in this market, Truckee River Homes we can help you get your home prepped and on the market and in front of the buyers! We’ll help you determine a pricing strategy that will not just pique interest, but spur home seekers to action. In short, our goal is for you to relax … we work hard so you don’t have to.
