Prosser

Prosser is one of Truckee’s best kept secrets. Prosser is a wooded community located just north of downtown Truckee, having convenient access to adorable restaurants and boutiques Truckee offers but distinct enough to have its own small community feel. The pine trees provide a unique fragrance of mountains and forest that is unique to the Sierra Nevadas. It borders the backcountry of the Forest Services, allowing the perfect entrance to an entire network of miles and miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing. And, like all communities in the area, has easy access to any of the eight surrounding ski mountains. Prosser Reservoir allows for kayakers and fishers to take advantage of their own body of water for a more intimate lake experience. Prosser is also near many creeks that feed into the Truckee River and one can often find fly fishers on the water in the morning sun and the evening glow. Its a perfect community to have a family and to make Tahoe your home.
