There’s no more magical time at Tahoe than December. The air is crisp, the mountains are dusted with snow. The holidays are in full swing and the shops are glistening with unusual gifts and crafts, just waiting to be wrapped. You can still find hikes, walks and amazing vista points from which to view Mother Nature’s splendor. Santa can be found popping up at events from sleigh rides to train rides to airplane fly-ins. And, of course, our many ski resorts are gearing up for their part in the fun, which will last well into spring.

December 16th ~ Squaw Valley
Santa will lead a parade in a one-horse open sleigh through Squaw’s “Ye Olde Christmas Village” on the way to the KT Base Bar. Watch the Glowstick Parade begin from the KT Deck and march over to Merry Wonderland. Fire dancers, an Ice Garden, the Singing Christmas Tree, and gourmet treats round out the event. More
